Circavision Productions presents:

Mission Statement

In the summer of 2009 I had a remarkable visit to Buenos Aires, Argentina where I had the good fortune of playing with Rodrigo Dominguez, Juan Pablo Arredondo, Jeronimo Carmona, Pablo Ledesma, Pepe Angelillo, and Martin De Lassaletta, at Notorious and Virasoro.

The experience inspired me to organize a musical project, called Helium. Based on my compositions and set in a context that encourages the interchange of creativity, Helium will include a large number of musical and non-musical collaborators. It will be a non-commercial venture, gathering specific musicians at a variety of venues to share a similar love for creative music.  Select configurations will be recorded for an album set to be released by Circavision Productions in 2011.

Helium is one of the lightest and most plentiful elements in the observable universe; it has a high binding energy and can take any physical form. In this same way, this project will gather many perspectives, and question the boundaries of jazz in a setting where the music is played and communicated through improvisation and the exchange of helium energy.

A prototype is set to take place in July of 2010 where we will return to South America and take one of the first steps in realize this dream with local musicians in five major cities.
